Coastline Creators — every idea makes waves
🚧 SailR is still being built — launching soon on Google Play. Get the first ping when we drop. ⛵
SailR
⛵ Live race tracking for sailors

Your club race,
now a live spectator sport.

One 6-character code. A synchronized countdown. Every boat's trail streaming to a live map while the shore crew watches it unfold. Then a scrubbable, speed-coloured replay to settle who really nailed that layline. SailR makes race day electric.

Real SailR — the whole fleet, in real time.

A small fleet. A shared code. A start gun everyone hears at the same instant. SailR is built for yacht clubs and weeknight fleets — not the Olympics — so anyone on the dock can follow the action and every sailor gets an honest, rating-corrected result.

One code, one start

Everyone in. Everyone off the line together.

Spin up a race room and share the 6-character code — or let crews scan a QR or tap a join link. When you hit go, a synchronized countdown ticks down on every phone at once, with audio cues so you can keep your eyes on the line, not your screen.

  • 6-char room codes · QR & deep-link join
  • Synchronized, audio-cued countdown
  • Racer, spectator & organizer roles

Live standings & fair results

See the result the second they cross.

Every boat streams its trail to a live leaderboard, then a clean finishing order the instant the gun goes — gold, silver, bronze and all. Apply your club's handicap and SailR corrects every time automatically, and keeps the scores across a whole series. Fair on the water, fair on the results sheet.

  • Real-time leaderboard & instant podium
  • PY / TCF / PHRF corrected-time scoring
  • Multi-race series & aggregate standings

Replay every tack

Re-sail the race. Find the fast lane.

After the gun, scrub the whole race on a timeline. Watch each trail glow from green to red by speed, with the wind, your true wind angle and every buoy & layline on a real nautical chart. The fast lanes and the killer tack jump straight off the screen.

  • Scrubbable post-race replay
  • Speed-gradient trails for lane spotting
  • Live wind, TWA, marks & auto-detected laps

Your boats, everywhere

Save your boat once. Sail from any phone.

Keep a tidy library of your boats — names, sail numbers, ratings, polars and certificate details across handy Polar / Handicap / COF tabs — and sign in with Google so they sync to the cloud and follow you to any device.

  • Saved boats with ratings, polars & COF
  • Google sign-in & cross-device cloud sync
  • Saved races archive you can replay anytime

Know your boatspeed

Every boat learns its own polar.

SailR keeps a polar diagram for every boat — your target boatspeed at each wind angle and strength, one smooth curve per wind speed. Type it in by hand, or let SailR auto-fill it from your real GPS tracks: every Open Water sail and race feeds the polar, so it sharpens itself the more you sail.

  • Radial polar plot from 6 to 25 knots of breeze
  • Manual, Table or Auto entry
  • Auto-measured from your tracks as you race

Just want to sail?

Open Water — solo free-sail mode.

No race, no problem. Fire up Open Water and SailR tracks your solo session, builds a live polar as you go, and hands you the same speed-gradient replay to pick apart your own boatspeed. Perfect for a tune-up or a sunset cruise.

  • Solo, code-free tracking
  • Live polar diagram capture
  • Full speed-gradient replay of your sail

Quick questions

When does it launch?

Soon! SailR is in the final build & testing stretch before its Google Play release. Tap Notify me and you'll know the moment it's live.

What do I need to use it?

An Android phone with GPS. Racers run SailR on board; shore-side spectators watch the live map. Full details land with the launch.

Is it for big regattas or club racing?

Club and weeknight racing is exactly the target — a friendly fleet sharing one code, not an Olympic timing system. It scales happily from a few boats to a full club fleet.

Does it handle handicaps?

Yes — apply your club's PY, TCF or PHRF rating and SailR computes corrected times and standings for you, across a whole series if you like.

Can I just go for a sail?

Absolutely. Open Water mode tracks a solo session and gives you the same speed-gradient replay — no race required.
